Every year the UW-Extension office receives numerous call from producers who are trying to determine what the value of custom farming services are worth. Usually, every three years (unfortunately, four years this time around), the Wisconsin Custom Rate Guide is updated to assist with this task. Values used for this guide are based on values collected in the fall of 2017. Overall prices increased at a rate of 1% – 3.5% when compared the 2013 publication. This guide can provide area farmers with help identifying what might be a fair or common price for certain farm equipment operations.
