On October 18th and 25th of 2018, Outagamie County will have its fifth annual meat processing contest. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about and participate in making and packaging breakfast links. All 4-H youth (no Cloverbuds) and FFA youth are eligible to participate.
1. Learn about spices, different meat blends and texture
2. Pick your own flavor and mix
1. Mix and stuff your breakfast links
2. Cook and taste
3. Vote for your favorite
4. Bring 3-4 pounds of breakfast links home!
Registration is due back to Sarah Grotjan at the UW-Extension office by October 1, 2018. Youth do not need to have any prior experience with livestock. This will count as an educational event for youth participating in the 4-H livestock project at the 2019 Outagamie County Fair.
Meetings will be held at The Meat Block located at N1739 Lily of the Valley Dr in Greenville. The fee is $30 deadline is on October 1, 2018. Checks should be made out to The Meat Block. Each participant will take home around 3-4 pounds of breakfast links upon completing the workshop.
