Cultural Outreach - Bridging Hmong American Cable TV Show

Since 1992 UW-Extension in Outagamie County has worked with Time Warner Cable to produce a variety of educational program in the Hmong culture.  Bridging Hmong American program guide. 

Rules, Rituals and Routines

Children need to have structure in their lives.  To add to the structure of family life, research tells us it is important to establish rules, rituals and routines.  Examples of everyday living will be shared and how to make applications in our families.  This is an educational program for church and family outreach groups.

Living with Grief

Annually the Living with Griefprogram is offered at the Outagamie County UW-Extension office and is sponsored by the Hospice Foundation of America.   The 2010 program – “Cancer and the End of Life”  – DVD’s and resource books are available in our Resource Room, at the Outagamie County UW- Extension office, for checkout. HFA provides leadership in the development of hospice and its philosophy of care.  HFA produces numerous resources to help educate professionals and the clients they serve on issues relating to caregiving, loss and bereavement.

Better Kid Care

Video’s, DVD’s and handout from past Better Kid Careprograms produced for Day Care providers is available in our Resource Room, at the Outagamie County UW- Extension office, for checkout.  The goal of the Better Kid Care Program is to improve the availability, accessibility, and quality of child care.  This is accomplished in several ways, including a website, satellite workshops, training workshops, video distance education units on-site training and a toll-free telephone mentoring help line.  More information is available through the University of Wisconsin Cooperative Extension Better Kid Care program website.
